What can you expect from our hikes?
The typical itinerary is as follows:

As we walk, we will provide; information on hiking technique, countryside rules & etiquette, are prepared to provide first aid support from headaches, suncream and blisters through to serious emergencies, motivation and support occasional informational tidbits and more!
The different types of hike
We offer a selection of different hikes for different people of all levels. The information below should provide a great guide as to which hike is for you.
Short Hikes
Length: 3-6 miles
Route conditions: Smooth undulations, a couple of hills, mainly smooth mud paths, little overgrowth, more sheltered
Acceptable weather: Sun, Cloud, Mizzle, Scattered Showers, light breeze
Acceptable temp: 10+ degrees
Required fitness level: Any
Expected duration: 2-3 hours

Length: 8-12 miles
Route conditions: A few decent hills, maybe a short steep section, twisty paths, occasionally rooty and rocky, a little overgrowth or long grasses
Acceptable weather: Sun, Cloud, Mizzle, Scattered Showers, Light rain, gusty wind
Acceptable temp: 6+ degrees
Required fitness level: Weekend Walker - Daily Dog Walker
Expected duration: 3-5 hours

Medium Hikes
Hard or Long Hikes
Length: 15-20 miles
Route conditions: Multiple hills, exposed, loose underfoot, rooty & rocky typical, wet foot sections, occasional section near a cliff
Acceptable weather: Sun, Cloud, Mizzle, Scattered Showers, Light rain, Heavy rain, continious wind
Acceptable temp: 1+ degrees
Required fitness level: Regular jogger, gym a few times a week
Expected duration: 6-10 hours

Marathon Hikes
Length: 26.2-27.5 miles
Route conditions: Multiple steep hills, almost never flat, exposed, loose underfoot, rooty & rocky typical, wet foot sections, sections near cliff edges
Acceptable weather: Sun, Cloud, Mizzle, Scattered Showers, Light rain, Heavy rain, continious wind
Acceptable temp: 1+ degrees
Required fitness level: Regular runner, gym a few times a week, sports enthusiast. A healthy dose of a dark side helps.
Expected duration: 10-14 hours

Night Hikes
All of the above hikes can be offered as a night hike and the hard or marathon hikes have a good chance of this happening in the winter regardless. Iit causes changes in perspective of distance and time and is very disorientating so is recommended for the experienced or well equiped only.
A final note
If you are deemed not fit/healthy enough, or not adequately equipped for the hike you have booked for then you will not be allowed on the hike and you will not be refunded. If either of these are found out during the hike, the hike will be aborted or put on hold and you will be asked to leave for endangering others and you will not be refunded. These rules are for your own safety and the safety of others.
You may cancel at the latest 24 hours before for a full refund.
